Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated April 16, 2026

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the proxy services and related infrastructure provided by SerpProxies (“SerpProxies”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It forms part of, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service.

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. We may update it from time to time; continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

2. General Principles

Our Services are intended for lawful business and professional use — including web scraping of publicly available data, ad verification, market research, brand protection, price aggregation, SEO monitoring and quality assurance. You are responsible for ensuring that your specific use complies with all applicable laws, the terms of the websites you access, and this AUP.

3. Prohibited Activities

You must not use the Services, directly or indirectly, to engage in or facilitate any of the following:

3.1 Unlawful Conduct

  • Any activity that violates applicable local, national or international law.
  • Accessing, distributing or storing child sexual abuse material or any content that exploits or endangers minors.
  • Fraud, phishing, identity theft, money laundering, or the sale of stolen or illegal goods, data or credentials.
  • Infringing the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party.

3.2 Network Abuse and Security Violations

  • Unauthorized access to any system, network or account, including penetration testing without the target’s written consent.
  • Distributing malware, ransomware, spyware, or launching denial-of-service (DoS or DDoS) or other volumetric attacks.
  • Credential stuffing, brute-force attacks, or any attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or data.
  • Probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of systems you do not own or are not authorized to assess.

3.3 Abusive and Harmful Use

  • Sending unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or operating spam infrastructure.
  • Harassment, stalking, threats, or distributing defamatory or knowingly false content.
  • Generating artificial engagement, fake account creation, click fraud or ad fraud.
  • Circumventing payment systems, ticketing limits, or other access controls in a manner that causes harm or loss to a third party.

4. Target Restrictions

Regardless of legality in a given jurisdiction, you may not route traffic through our network to the following categories of targets:

  • Government, military, or critical national infrastructure systems.
  • Banking, payment processor, or financial-institution back-end systems.
  • Healthcare systems containing protected health information.
  • Streaming or media platforms in violation of their terms of service.
  • Any system where access would breach the operator’s terms or applicable law.

5. Responsible Data Practices

If your use involves collecting personal data, you are solely responsible for having a lawful basis to process it, for honoring data-subject rights, and for complying with applicable data-protection laws including the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You must not collect, store or process personal data in a manner that violates the rights of the individuals concerned.

6. Reporting Abuse

We take abuse seriously. If you believe our Services are being used in violation of this AUP, please report it to our support team via the live chat on our website. We investigate all credible reports and act on them promptly.

7. Enforcement

Violation of this AUP may result in, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • Issuance of a warning and a request to remediate.
  • Throttling, suspension or termination of the offending traffic or account.
  • Forfeiture of any remaining balance attributable to the violating activity.
  • Disclosure to, and cooperation with, law enforcement where required by law or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary.

We reserve the right to determine, in our reasonable judgment, what constitutes a violation of this policy.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this AUP at any time to reflect changes in our Services, the law, or industry practice. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above, and your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

9. Contact

If you have questions about this Acceptable Use Policy, or need to report a violation, please contact our support team via the live chat on our website, or email us at team@serpproxies.com. We aim to respond to all enquiries within one business day.
