## Everything in the IP checker

01 Both families, tested separately One request to an IPv4-only address and one to an IPv6-only address. Whichever answers, your connection has; whichever cannot be reached, it does not.

02 Where you appear to be Country, region and city for each address, the same lookup a site runs to localise prices or block a region.

03 ISP, organisation and ASN Who the address belongs to. This is what anti-bot systems read first when they decide whether traffic looks residential.

04 Residential, mobile or datacenter Whether the address reads as a home connection, a mobile carrier or a hosting range, plus whether it is already flagged as a proxy or VPN.

05 Look up any address Paste an IPv4 or IPv6 address to see the same details for it: a proxy's exit IP, a server, or an address from your logs.

06 No account, nothing kept Open the page and the answer is there. Lookups are not logged against you.

Plenty of home and office connections still have no IPv6 route, and some routers switch it off. If your provider does not offer it, the IPv6 check has nothing to reach and shows as not detected. That is normal and does not mean anything is broken.

IP geolocation is a database lookup, not GPS. It usually gets the country right and the city roughly right, and it often places an address at its provider's hub instead of where you actually are. Mobile networks and IPv6 addresses tend to be the least precise.

If you are connected through one, yes: the page shows the address your traffic leaves from, which is the proxy's or the VPN's, not your own. That makes it a quick way to confirm a proxy is actually in use.

The geolocation database lists the address as a known proxy, VPN or Tor exit. Sites that block proxy traffic tend to use the same kind of list, so a flagged address is more likely to meet captchas.

The page does not log lookups against you. Like any website, our server sees the address your request comes from, and it caches each address's geolocation for an hour so the same lookup is not repeated.
